THE WITCH OF KONOTOP | Illustration

The Witch of Konotop is a satirical fiction story by Ukrainian writer Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko written in 1833. Nowadays there is a play by the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, based on this novel by Ivan Uryvsky. The aesthetic of the play form the basis of the illustration. It conveys the mood of a sticky nightmare, where there is a center of power (evil and sometimes good) — a witch and all of her “victims”. This illustration was created as a T-shirt print.
