SENS | Newspaper Advertising Poster
Sens is a bookstore-café that aims to be a live platform for book events, art presentations, and open conversations. The goal was to create a poster to advertise a newspaper published by a bookstore. About the idea: why a pigeon? Pigeons were the first news carrier and communication channel. Later, they were replaced by newspapers and then by gadgets (we are politely silent about this here). The pigeon is also a symbol of Kyiv, same as Sens. So, a common denominator is emerging. Another expressive element is an ear. The chirping of a pigeon enters it along with the news. The ear listens attentively, sometimes does not hear or digests the info for a long time, that's where appears “eh?”. This is how the newspaper finds its way to the reader. Roughness in the poster is needed for an additional sense of liveliness.
